The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Escazu (9-2) in San Jose on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ARBA (9-0) 58-50. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Escazu. ARBA forced 24 Escazu turnovers. The former international point guard Isaac Conejo (182-94) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Jeffney Anderson (208-83, college: Southern) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward David Shedden (197-95) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Undefeated ARBA have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Escazu at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. ARBA are looking forward to face Siquirres (#4) in the next round. Escazu will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in . Fifth ranked Alajuela (4-7) saved a 3-point derby victory on the road edging 6th ranked Perez Zeledon (2-6) 85-82 in the game for the fifth place. Worth to mention a great performance of Jeikol Rojas (-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jhan Mayorga contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Alajuela's coach used entire bench in such tough game. The former international forward Yackie Acuna (190-80) replied with 32 points and 6 rebounds for Perez Zeledon. Alajuela maintains fifth position with 4-7 record. Perez Zeledon at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Alajuela will play against bottom-ranked Asobasca (#7) in the next round. An exciting game was played in . First ranked Escazu faced one of their biggest challengers Siquirres. Guests from San Jose (9-2) smashed host Siquirres (4-5) 112-54. Escazu dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Siquirres' 34. They outrebounded Siquirres 61-40 including a 50-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Escazu shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Siquirres' players. The former international guard Daniel Shedden (190-96, college: MSUB) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward David Shedden (197-95) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest.
