The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Escazu (9-2) in San Jose on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ARBA (9-0) 58-50. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Escazu. ARBA forced 24 Escazu turnovers. The former international point guard Isaac Conejo (182-94) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Jeffney Anderson (208-83, college: Southern) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward David Shedden (197-95) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Undefeated ARBA have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Escazu at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. ARBA are looking forward to face Siquirres (#4) in the next round. Escazu dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Siquirres' 34. They outrebounded Siquirres 61-40 including a 50-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Escazu shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Siquirres' players.
